Secure Fax

Trust and Data Integrity in an electronic fax world

What is Secure Fax?

Traditional fax machines have a major flaw... Faxes are sitting on the fax machine's paper tray, an easy target for prying eyes, whether it's an important contract, financial reports, health records or any other secure information. TNZ's SecureFax can solve this problem. Faxes are emailed to you securely, bringing fax under the scope of your organisation's email policies.

For organisations that require additional security, particularly for financial, health, or otherwise sensitive private data, SecureFax is a highly secure solution of receiving faxes via the internet. Use a mixture of No-Archive, PGP Encryption and other security measures to meet your organisations requirements.

SecureFax was built from the ground up to match specifications and requirements of the PCI-DSS rules. While we had a PCI-DSS in mind, this doesn't stop SecureFax providing a solid solution for the requirements of many other applications, from lawyers to doctors, banks and accountants.

SecureFax Features

Discover the ease of integrating TNZ's SMS tools into your business strategy. Our platform simplifies communication, allowing you to focus on connecting with your audience.

Standard on all TNZ Fax services, email transmissions and dashboard logins are transport-layer encrypted. Optional enforcing of email encryption based on the sending or receiving email domain.

Standard on all TNZ Fax services, emails are verified for authenticity using email standards such as SPF, PTR, DKIM and DMARC to ensure sender legitimacy.

Your faxes can be encrypted on-the-fly the moment they are received by our fax servers using your supplied Public PGP Key.

The unencrypted fax image is not stored on our servers at any stage. The PGP-Encrypted fax will then be emailed to you. You will then need to decrypt the fax image using your Private PGP Key. You can change your PGP Key at any time and supply us with the new Public Key. Find out more on PGP Encryption here: OpenPGP.org

PGP Encryption can be enabled for receiving of inbound faxes only.

Losing Your Copper Line?

When moving to UFB or a fibre-based network, support for copper lines and existing fax machines will cease. Move to a cloud-hosted Internet Fax solution and send/receive faxes using email.

Keeping your fax number

Fax is an essential business tool, particularly for security conscious organisations such as banks, legal government and healthcare.

You may have held the same fax number for quite some time, printed on your business cards and published in collateral. When moving to TNZ’s Internet Fax services, you can retain your existing fax number.

We offer contract-free options, giving you the freedom to add or remove services at any time.

Complete your registration as early as possible
Once your "move to fibre" date has been confirmed let your account manager know - we will aim to port your fax number prior to your other services moving to fibre
Once the port completes, you’ll be using Internet Fax! You are safe to disconnect your physical fax machine
